Still life has been present in art since antiquity, but it was not until the 17th century, thanks to Dutch and Flemish painters, that it developed into a separate trend in art. Still life compositions are characterized by elements neatly selected in terms of aesthetics or symbolism. Photography, the most popular contemporary medium, could not remain indifferent to this phenomenon in art. This is especially true for Fine Art photography, which artistically reflects reality.
In this project I return to the roots, which date back to 17th century Dutch painting, where light and shadow played as important a role as the composition itself.
